sustainable design

The needed aim of sustainable design is to produce places, products and services in a way that reduces use of non- renewable resources, minimizes environmental impact, and relates people with the natural environment. Project Coordinating Services can provide the knowledge and expertise in meeting these requirements.

A sustainable building, or green building is the outcome of a design which focuses on increasing the efficiency of resource use — energy, water, and materials — while reducing building impacts on human health and the environment during the building's lifecycle.

The LEED Process, helps building owners measure operations, improvements and maintenance, with the goal of maximizing operational efficiency while minimizing environmental impacts. Simple steps that address whole-building cleaning and maintenance issues (including chemical use), recycling programs, exterior maintenance programs, can assist in establishing sustainable practices. PCS, LLC can assist in establishing guidelines and specifications on sustainable building materials and energy savings strategies.
